Explore the Use of Modal Verbs

If we need to show possibility or the likelihood of something in our writing, we can use modal verbs. 

We can use modal verbs to show how possible or likely something is. We might use modal verbs to give conditions to a situation. We will look at some of them in this activity. 

The three words in bold are all modal verbs!  Look at what they do in the sentences they are in.
