Worksheet Overview

brick wall

When you are writing, you have to make sure that it makes sense for your reader.

As well as using great vocabulary, you need to think about how you connect that vocabulary together so that your work makes sense.

In this activity, we will look at connectives, and how they help to structure your work.

Think of connectives like the mortar that holds bricks in place - a wall built without mortar would fall down. A piece of writing without connectives would not make sense.
