Worksheet Overview

paint brushes

When you write creatively, it is important to make sure you paint a picture for the reader.

This means using your words to create images so that they understand what you are describing.

This makes your writing so much more interesting and exciting to read!

A great way to do this - aside from using fabulous vocabulary - is to use imagery

This is made up of four language devices: simile, metaphor, personification and hyperbole

In this activity, you will develop your skills in recognising and understanding these devices.
