Worksheet Overview

This worksheet is about working out change when you pay with coins.

Example

I give 50p to a shopkeeper.

How much change would I get if I buy 3 pens for 5p each?

Answer

Work out how much the pens cost.

3 × 5p = 15p

Then subtract this from the 50p you give the shopkeeper.

50p - 15p = 35p

In this worksheet we just write the number 35.
