The world of nature is made up of habitats, microhabitats and all of the creatures that live in them!
A microhabitat is a smaller habitat for much smaller creatures to live in.
In this woodland, there is also a microhabitat under logs, or in the leaf litter where other animals can be found.
In the woodland, we could find foxes, deer, rabbits, butterflies and hedgehogs - as well as lots of other animals and plants!
Woodland is made up of many plants, including different types of trees, grass and different flowers.
In the microhabitat, we might find worms, woodlice, beetles and slugs.
The microhabitat evolves from a tree falling or from the leaves falling off the trees, creating leaf litter.
