Worksheet Overview

Whenever we write something, it is always a good idea to go back and check for mistakes. We call this proofreading.

When we proofread we are looking for spelling mistakes, like this:

The gurl is signing = The girl is singing.

cartoon blond girl

Or words we might have missed out:

I can’t wait to go school = I can’t wait to go to school.

red school building

We can check for missing punctuation: Where are you going = Where are you going?

And we can check we have used the right tense:

I goed to my friend's house for dinner = I went to my friend’s house for dinner.

three cartoon friends walking

In this activity, we will practise using the correct tense, as well as checking spelling and punctuation, so that we can  proofread our own work!
