When we write, we sometimes want to communicate something specific to the reader.
We might want to convince them of something, or ask them to do something.
When we need to do this, we use something called persuasive devices.
There are lots of persuasive devices, but in this activity we are going to focus on exaggeration, direct address, and rhetorical questions.
Don't worry if you aren't sure what these are, as in this activity, you will look at each of them and hopefully be much more confident by the end!
