Creating an image for a reader is a super important skill as a writer. Think of it as painting a picture, but with words.
It is important that you create as many images as possible when you are writing creatively as this can really help the reader to picture exactly what you are describing - and it makes it way more interesting to read.
In this activity, we will be looking at personification. This is a language device.
Personification is grouped with simile, metaphor and hyperbole to make something called 'figurative language' or 'imagery'.
It is easy to see why it is called imagery - as you are creating images!
