Worksheet Overview

In this activity, we're going to take a look at some proverbs.  What do we mean by the word proverb?

Proverbs are short sentences or phrases that contain life lessons or rules that many people live by.

For example:

A picture is worth a thousand words.

A girl painting.

This may sound like a simple sentence but there is a piece of life advice here that may not be immediately obvious.

This proverb means artwork or images can convey meanings that go beyond verbal description.

Let's have a look at some more proverbs now.
