Worksheet Overview

Materials are all around us, at home, at school and even out at the shops.

Materials are chosen for their individual properties.

Some materials have the same properties but would not be suitable for the same purpose.

Here are a tissue and a towel.

box of tissues  blue towel

Both are absorbent but have different uses.

One is for blowing your nose and the other is for getting dry.

Imagine if we used them the other way round!

Could you use a towel to blow your nose and a tissue to get dry after swimming?

In this activity, there are different properties.

All you have to do is to decide what material they are and what item they could be.
