Materials are all around us and each material has a different property.

The properties of the material help us to decide which is the best material to use when we want to make something.

The purpose of a window is to see through it.  It is also to protect us from the wind and the rain.

The best material for a window is glass.  We can see through glass as it is transparent. Another property of glass is that it is strong.

 

Let's practise looking at the properties of different materials.
