Decimals are a large part of the maths curriculum; whether you need to add or subtract using decimals, or you’re needing to convert to decimals when you’re completing one of our fractions worksheets or percentages worksheets, our decimal worksheets will come in handy sooner rather than later! Our KS2 decimal worksheets help your child start their journey with decimals; our year 3 decimal worksheets introduce the basics of decimals, and begin to get your child more familiar with them. Year 4 decimals worksheets will start to help your child add two and three numbers together with one or two decimal places. Your child should also be able to start converting simple fractions to decimals.

 

Year 5 decimal worksheets should help your child to further develop their knowledge of how to add and subtract numbers with 2 decimal places. They will also be introduced to multiplying and dividing with decimals by multiples of 10, 100 and 1000, and should learn how to round numbers with decimal places. Our year 6 decimals worksheets help your child to add decimals together and be able to estimate the answer, and multiply decimals by whole numbers.

 

KS3 decimal worksheets should help to cement your child’s existing knowledge of decimals and how they can be used in different types of calculations. Year 7 decimal worksheets will introduce simple algebraic substitution with decimal numbers, and further elaborates and develops upon converting decimals to more complex fractions.

 

Year 8 decimal worksheets focus on solidifying knowledge learnt in previous years, as well as introducing a few more ideas and tips and tricks. Your child should learn how to do column addition of decimals, and be able to order decimals independently and confidently. By the time your child reaches year 9 decimal worksheets, they should be able to answer most decimal questions by themselves. At this level, your child should also learn how to convert decimal angles to degrees and minutes using a range of our decimal activities and other resources.
